Dr. Kowdley's Presentation...

Some material in this presentation is advanced, but overall, this is an excellent introduction to hemochromatosis.

Dr. Kowdley is a practicing hepatologist expert in liver transplantation. His interest in the role of hemochromatosis and the liver led him to organize and open the first Hemochromatosis/Iron Disorders Clinic in the US. He has written extensively about liver transplantation and is respected throughout the world for his work in this field. Dr. Kowdley is a member of the Iron Disorders Institute's Scientific Advisory Board.

Hemochromatosis and Hepatitis C:

Dr. Kris Kowdley presents "Hereditary Hemochromatosis: Ironing Out a Metallic Malady." Hemochromatosis is the most common form of iron overload disease. Dr. Anne Larson discusses Hepatitis C, a liver disease in which the organ swells and stops working well. For more information, see the UW Medicine website.
